Group Chief Executive Officer


Ashok Wadhwa is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Ambit and also spearheads the Corporate Finance division.

Alongside Ambit, he co-founded RSM & Co., a tax advisory firm. He built RSM into a world class Indian consulting house over a decade, which was then merged with PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2007.

Ashok is responsible for building Ambit into a full-service Investment Bank that it is today. Ambit currently has seven lines of businesses, including its reputed, flagship Corporate Finance business.

Ashok is regarded as an incisive investment banker and has handled a large gamut of transactions across sectors and geographies. Lauded for his excellence in the field of finance, he is the recipient of several awards, including the Priyadarshini Academy award for outstanding contribution in the field of financial management.

Ashim Bhuwania

Managing Director


Ashim Bhuwania is a Managing Director of the Corporate Finance division at Ambit, where he is responsible for the Industrials and Logistics verticals.

Ashim has been with Ambit since 2004. Prior to Ambit, he worked with Asian Institutional Equities in Credit Suisse, Hong Kong.

Ashim has successfully closed transactions for some of the biggest businesses, including Legrand, Messung, Indo Asian Fusegear and CMA CGM, among others.

Ashim is a qualified Chartered Accountant and has also completed an Executive Education Program on Negotiation – ‘Changing the Game’, at Harvard Business School.


Rahul Mody

Managing Director


Rahul Mody is a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance division at Ambit, where he is responsible for the Infrastructure vertical, comprising the Utilities/Power, Energy, Transport and Telecom sectors, as well as the Real Estate vertical. He has over 22 years of experience in Investment Banking.

Rahul joined Ambit in mid-2014 from Greenhill, London where he was a Managing Director and Partner. In total, Rahul practised in Europe based out of London for 13 years. He has also previously worked with Dresdner Kleinwort, Mumbai and London, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Having extensive relationships with Infrastructure companies and funds globally and in India, he has advised on several M&A as well as equity and debt capital raising transactions in the sector worth over $50bn.

Rahul is a qualified Chartered Accountant, Company Secretary and Cost Accountant, having graduated from Sydenham College of Commerce & Economics, Mumbai University.


Ausang Shukla

Managing Director


Ausang is a Managing Director in the Corporate Finance team of Ambit and is responsible for the Banking and Financial Services vertical, comprising Banks, NBFCs, Insurance, Asset Management and Fin tech.

Ausang joined Ambit from Macquarie Capital, where he was a Director in the Investment Banking Business, responsible for the financial services, telecom and internet verticals. He has previously worked with Lehman Brothers, Nomura and PricewaterhouseCoopers.

He has advised leading Indian and Global financial institutions, corporate houses and financial investors on a range of transactions including mergers, acquisitions, equity / debt capital raising and joint ventures in India and South East Asia.

Ausang is an MBA from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and a CA from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi.

Huzefa Dehgamwala



Huzefa Dehgamwala tracks logistics, transportation & real estate sectors at Ambit Corporate Finance.

He has over 9 years of experience in M&A & capital raising at Ambit Corporate Finance. Prior to joining Ambit, Huzefa has worked with a US based investment bank, McGladrey Capital Markets (formerly known as RSM EquiCo) and CRISIL (S&P 500 company).

With close to a decade of experience in investment banking, Huzefa has advised leading Indian & MNC clients on a range of transactions including mergers & acquisitions & capital raising for clients.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accountancy) from H.R. College, Mumbai and an MBA from Welingkar Institute of Management, Mumbai.

Ananda Chakrabarti



Ananda is a Director in the Corporate Finance team of Ambit and focuses on the Infrastructure, Industrial and Chemical verticals.

Before joining Ambit, Ananda has worked as Vice President in Lazard, where he was involved in a wide range of transactions in India and various international markets, in infrastructure, industrials, telecom and metals & mining sectors. Prior to that he worked with HCL Technologies and Ranbaxy Laboratories.

Ananda is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and an economics graduate from Presidency College, Kolkata.


Raman Gupta

Vice President


Raman is a Vice President in the Corporate Finance team of Ambit and focuses on Infrastructure vertical, comprising Utilities, Energy, Transport and Telecom.

Raman started his Investment Banking career at Ambit Corporate Finance in 2007. He has previously worked for four years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in the statutory audit vertical.

He has advised leading Indian corporates and Global financial institutions on a range of infrastructure transactions in the Power Transmission, Transport and Renewables Sectors.

Raman is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Bangalore, a CA from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, New Delhi, and an alumni of Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi.


Jyotiraj Sarma

Vice President


Jyotiraj is a Vice President in the Corporate Finance team of Ambit and is responsible for the consumer vertical. Jyotiraj joined Ambit from KPMG Corporate Finance, where he was an Associate Director in the Investment Banking Business with particular focus on consumer coverage. He has previously worked with the Tata Administrative Services where he was part of the Corporate Finance and Treasury team at Tata Steel.

Over the last several years, he has worked with leading Indian and global corporate houses on a range of transactions including mergers, acquisitions and private equity fund raises.

Jyotiraj is an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) in Delhi and an engineering graduate from BITS Pilani.

Pratik Sethi

Pratik Sethi is a Vice President in the Corporate Finance division of Ambit and focuses on Infrastructure vertical, comprising Utilities, Energy, Transport and Telecom.

Pratik, previously worked with the private equity team of Ambit Pragma. Before joining Ambit, he worked with Beacon India Private Equity Fund. Prior to which, he worked in the corporate finance & investment banking teams at Ernst & Young and Pricewaterhouse Coopers.

Pratik is an MBA from Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and Bachelor of Engineering degree from NSIT, Delhi University. He is also a CFA Charterholder.



Chetas Desai

Senior Advisor


Chetas Desai is a Senior Advisor and has been with Ambit since 2007.

Prior to Ambit, he was an Associate Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has led several complex transactions, including cross-border transactions involving Indian corporates and leading MNCs operating in India.

He has previously advised MNCs like OLAM India, Manitowoc Crane Group Inc., Bayer, Novartis and Clariant.

Chetas brings his wealth of sectoral expertise while working with companies in the real estate, pharmaceutical, auto ancillary, and FMCG domains. His core strengths lie in strategic analysis, project management and transaction structuring.
