Role purpose
The POWER/UTILITIES associate will help in:

  • Collating sector data on monthly, quarterly and ad-hoc basis.
  • Conducting on-ground research by visiting bank branches and speaking to POWER/UTILITIES distributors.
  • Financial modelling of POWER/UTILITIES companies and analysis thereof.
  • Research on specific companies and industry. Draw company specific insights by analysing industry and competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quarterly result updates.
  • Write regular research notes.
  • Contribute to channel check notes.
  • Update financial models with quarterly and annual data from quarterly statutory filings, investor presentations and annual reports.
  • Working on client requests and adhering to timelines.

Key requirements/pre-requisites

  • POWER/UTILITIES background (either research or industry)
  • Well versed with excel/financial modelling
  • Ability to grasp financial concepts quickly
